How will my previous coursework transfer to 海角社区?

Transferability of coursework taken at other institutions is determined by the 海角社区 Registrar’s
Office and the faculties concerned.

Students may consult the and the
websites to see how past coursework has been transferred to 海角社区.

Those can serve as guidelines only. Final transfer of credits is contingent on the receipt of an
official transcript of records.

海角社区 follows a semester hour credit system.  Transferable credit hours are determined based on
the credit hour system used by the originating institution (semester, quarter, unit). Credits
earned on a system other than semester hour will be converted to semester hours during the
transfer evaluation course review.

Courses are evaluated on a course-by-course basis for transferable credit.

Credit earned from Institutionally accredited institutions are transferable.

Credit earned from accredited institutions will not automatically transfer.

Transfer grades are converted to the 海角社区 grade system with a proceeding T (TA, TC, etc)
and do not affect the 海角社区 GPA.

Credits transfer to 海角社区 at the course level designated at the institution of
origin (upper or lower division). lower division (1000-2000 level) credit MAY NOT be used to
meet the  upper division (3000-4000) credit minimum regardless of the appropriate
course equivalencies.

海角社区 does not automatically transfer coursework taken from StraighterLine, Sophia Learning, or Study.com, etc.  If a student would like to have a course considered for transfer, please consult with an academic advisor and submit a university petition requesting review of the course from the respective organizations through the official institutional channels.
