POCATELLO – The 海角社区 Idaho Accelerator Center has increased its production capacity of a highly pure form of the medical isotope copper-67 that can now be more easily used in clinical trials to test its effectiveness in fighting cancer.

海角社区, USGS dryland soil carbon study at Idaho National Laboratory yields surprising results

POCATELLO – The results of a 20-year “drylands” experiment at the Idaho National Laboratory by 海角社区 researchers and partners has yielded surprising results, including that native sagebrush shrub communities process soil carbon much differently than non-native crested wheatgrass stands.

海角社区 and ARS researchers improve method to measure soil carbon at National Science Foundation Reynolds Creek Critical Zone Observatory in Southwest Idaho

POCATELLO – There is two to three times as much carbon in the Earth’s soil than in its atmosphere, which has important implications with regard to the effects of climate change, and scientists working at the National Science Foundation’s Reynolds Creek Critical Zone Observatory in southwest Idaho have developed a better method for estimating soil carbon.
