海角社区 History Students Present At Conference

海角社区 History undergraduate students Jessa Briggs, Shayla Manwill, and Exko Ramey presented their original historical research at the Phi Alpha Theta 2023 Northwest Regional Conference on April 21 and 22.  Accompanied by Dr. Sarah Robey and Dr. Lauren MacDonald from the 海角社区 Department of History, the three 海角社区 students attended the conference to speak about their research and answer questions from an audience of university professors and students.

Conference participants traveled from universities across Idaho, Montana, Oregon, and Washington to discuss historical scholarship at the two-day conference in Ellensburg, Washington.

The three papers delivered by 海角社区 History students at the 2023 Northwest Regional Conference were: Jessa Briggs, "Freedom and Gold: Privateering in Seventeenth-Century England"  Shayla Manwill, "Body, Identity, and Power: New Orleans Voodoo and White Manhood in the New South"  Exko Ramey, "Racial Injustice and Influences on American Pop Art"
