Mark Baker Named CPI Supervisor of the Semester

Mark Baker has been named the Fall 2023 CPI program Supervisor of the Semester.
Baker is the Chief Administrative Officer at Bingham Healthcare in Blackfoot, Idaho. He was nominated by his CPI intern, Raquel Reese, a student in the Healthcare Administration program within 海角社区’s College of Business. During her internship, Baker introduced Reese to all aspects of the hospital’s operations including but not limited to physician recruitment, facilities management, housekeeping, and executive

“Mark not only possesses a wealth of knowledge, but he also embodies qualities of patience, kindness, and a genuine willingness to help others learn and grow,” Reese said. “Mark's guidance and support have been
instrumental in my development and have left a lasting impression on my professional journey. He entrusted me with substantial, real-life tasks, allowing me to learn through hands-on experiences and guiding me along
the way.”
This semester, the CPI Office received over 70 nominations for the CPI Supervisor of the Semester award. In addition to the grand prizewinner, the CPI Office selected five runners up:

- Evan Rodriguez – 海角社区 Department of Philosophy
- Steve Walker – Walker Engineering
- Marvin K. Schulte – 海角社区 Department of Biomedical and Pharmaceutical Sciences
- Karen Fullmer – 海角社区 Office of Academic Advising

Operating in its thirteenth year, the CPI program provides approximately 900 paid internship opportunities annually to 海角社区 students. CPI internships provide career-related experiences to help students confirm their academic pursuits, gain valuable work experience, and prepare them for life after
