Applications Now Accepted for Internal Small Grant Program

October 6, 2022

The Office for Research is pleased to announce the Internal Small Grant Program for fall semester.

Applications for the Internal Small Grant Program may be submitted now. The purpose of the Internal Small Grant Program is to expand the capacity for research and creative activity at 海角社区.  Funding is made available by the Office for Research and comes from facilities and administrative costs resulting from external grant and contract funding. The Office for Research relies on the 海角社区 Research Council to make recommendations to the vice president for research in as fair and as transparent a way as possible. These Research Council recommendations support all areas, types, and disciplines of research and creative activity by all full-time 海角社区 faculty. For more information, please visit the Internal Small Grant Program website

New this year: The Internal Small Grant Program applications will be submitted in  Sponsored Programs, a cloud-based management software that has been used for external funding submissions since 2014. The Cayuse system tracks 海角社区 research proposal and award activity, provides for streamlined-internal routing and approval of proposals, and stores proposal and award documents and can now be used for internal proposal management.

鈥淭he 海角社区 Office for Research fully supports the Internal Small Grants Program," said Martin Blair, Vice President for Research. 鈥満=巧缜 supports faculty innovation, discovery, and creative scholarship. We anticipate that these funds will foster new ideas and create a foundation for innovative solutions by 海角社区 faculty, students, staff, and community partners."

鈥淭he Research Council looks forward to seeing the broad range of research and creative activities taking place at 海角社区 this year,鈥 said Dustin McNulty, Chair of the Research Council. "Reviewing the Internal Small Grant Program proposals is really a highlight of our annual committee work, and we encourage submissions from all departments and programs throughout the University.鈥
