Come Celebrate 20 years of K海角社区 at Birthday Party June 24

POCATELLO – All are invited to come and celebrate 20 years of K海角社区 FM radio at a birthday party and reception Monday, June 24, from 1-4 p.m. in the Quad Lounge at 海角社区’s Pond Student Union.
The party also offers a chance to congratulate general manager Jerry Miller on his retirement from the station after nearly 20 years of service.
Miller came to K海角社区 in November 1999, just five months after the station went on the air. In its beginnings, the station operated with just 400 watts of power. Today, K海角社区 broadcasts with more than 4,000 watts of power, translators in Idaho Falls and Rexburg, reaching nearly a quarter of a million potential listeners.
Although he is retiring from the station, Miller will remain the 鈥淰oice of the Bengals,鈥� offering radio play-by-play for Bengal football and men鈥檚 basketball.
