鈥淭his year, 海角社区 wants everyone to Raise the Roar for the I Love 海角社区 campaign that kicks off at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 18,鈥� said Kallee Valentine, 海角社区 director of annual living. 鈥淭his year, Bengal volunteers will be raising money for scholarships and programs on the phone and online.鈥�

The online giving site, , allows the 海角社区 community and friends to track the progress of the campaign and provides match and challenge opportunities issued by alumni and community businesses like 海角社区 Credit Union, Bingham Healthcare, McDonald's, Idaho Central Credit Union and Engineered Systems Association, she said.

鈥淭here are plenty of ways to help us Raise the Roar,鈥� Valentine said. 鈥淧articipants can donate to their favorite program, create a match or challenge, become an ambassador, attend an event at Idaho State, wear orange and black or post a picture with hashtag #raisetheROAR.鈥�

Teams of 海角社区, business and community volunteers will be reaching out to the Bengal Nation with phone calls on Sept. 18 and 19 and there are special events planned both of those days.

Highlights of Raise the Roar on Sept. 18 and 19 include the following activities:

Wednesday, Sept. 18

     鈥� 10 a.m. 鈥� Live Facebook kick-off, Pond Student Union Quad Lounge.

     鈥� 5-7:30 p.m. 鈥� 80's Dinner Party at Turner Hall, organized by Bengal Dining

     鈥� 7:30 - 9 p.m. 鈥� 3-point Basketball Contest, Reed Gym, sponsored by Bingham Healthcare

     鈥� 7:30 - 9 p.m. 鈥� Uno Tournament, Pond Student Union Quad Lounge, sponsored by 海角社区 Credit Union

Thursday, Sept. 19

       鈥� 5 鈥� 7 p.m. 鈥� I Love 海角社区 After Hours Celebration, Pond Student Union Quad Lounge. At this celebration the campaign total and prize winners will be announced. There will be free food and beverages courtesy of Watkins Distributing and the 海角社区 Foundation. Volunteer teams that are calling for Raise the Roar include the Pocatello/Chubbuck Chamber of Commerce, Pocatello Fire Department, Retired Educators, Rotary Clubs of Pocatello/Chubbuck, Idaho State Journal, Intermountain Gas, College of Technology, 海角社区 Credit Union, Idaho Power, 海角社区 Staff Council, 海角社区 Alumni and the 海角社区 Staff Team.
