海角社区

The concert will feature works by guest artists Bill Evans, Brit Falcon, Kelli Brown and Sam Paytosh  as well as 海角社区 dance faculty members Sergiu Brindusa, Kathy Diehl and Lauralee Zimmerly. Guest dancers from The Dance Factory will join 海角社区 dance students in showcasing contemporary dance, jazz, improvisation, dance theatre, Flamenco, contemporary ballet and more.

Program director Diehl is in her second year at 海角社区 and notes that this is an exciting time for the dance program.

鈥淭his concert is a testament to our faculty who are regionally recognized for their teaching and artistic work as well as our group of talented, dedicated students,鈥� Diehl said. 鈥淭hrough our commitment to excellence in the field of dance, we are not only providing opportunities for our students to grow as performers, choreographers, scholars and educators, but are also broadening the audience for dance on our campus and beyond.鈥�

She said the Bistline Foundation, the 海角社区 Cultural Events Committee and departmental funding helped to support several guest artist residencies and classes this past year.

 鈥淭he funding is essential to our continued growth and we are so grateful for the support,鈥� she said.
