海角社区 to unveil special sculpture gift 'Valentine' September 28

POCATELLO – 海角社区 will celebrate the unveiling of the sculpture “Valentine” by George Lundeen at 4 p.m. Sept. 28 at the Hutchinson Quadrangle Amphitheater near the Pond Student Union Hypostyle.
海角社区 President Arthur C. Vailas and other members of the 海角社区 community will be on hand to honor alumni Bill and Marilyn Byrne, who donated this sculpture to the University.
This couple met at 海角社区 in 1963 and graduated in 1967. They are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary in 2017 by donating "Valentine" to their alma mater to celebrate the story of the many Bengals who fall in love and find their lifelong partners at 海角社区.

Lundeen has been commissioned to sculpt portraits and interpretive works alike for universities, municipalities, foundations and corporations around the world.
