海角社区 hires manager for Treasure Valley Anatomy and Physiology Laboratories

MERIDIAN 鈥� Lorinda Smith is the new manager of the L.S. and Aline W. Skaggs Treasure Valley Anatomy and Physiology Laboratories which will open in August at 海角社区-Meridian, 1311 E. Central Drive.
She joined 海角社区 May 11 after spending the past decade teaching gross anatomy 鈥搊rgan and tissue dissection viewed with the naked eye 鈥� and neuroanatomy classes at University of Utah.
At Utah, she taught students in physical and occupational therapy, audiology, mechanical engineering, bioengineering and the school of medicine.
At 海角社区-Meridian, Smith鈥檚 duties will include overseeing the setup and operations of the $6-million, state-of-the-art labs and assisting faculty and students with their educational needs.
Physician assistant studies students will begin using the labs the first week of the fall semester, which begins Aug. 24.
Smith holds a Master of Occupational Therapy degree from University of Utah and a bachelor鈥檚 degree in biology from Northern Arizona University. She is completing a Ph.D. in rehabilitation science through University of Utah
