海角社区 Native American Night and Native Royalty Pageant set Nov. 17

The 海角社区 Native Americans United will hold its Native American Heritage Night on Nov. 17 from 7 to 10 p.m. in the Pond Student Union Ballroom.

The night will include dinner, a fashion show, Native American dancing, and royalty pageant. The Native American Heritage night is held in celebration of November National Native American and Alaska Native Heritage Month.

The 海角社区 Royalty Pageant is open to all genders and sexual orientations. The winner will be given the title 鈥淢ister Native,鈥 鈥淢iss Native鈥 or 鈥淣ative Two-Spirit 海角社区.鈥

The fashion show will feature Lakota Fashion designer SunRose Ironshell, alumna of the American Indian Art Institute in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Buffalo stew, salmon, frybread and a Native American inspired dessert will be served for dinner.

Tickets are $7 for students/faculty/staff and $8 for the general public. Tickets are available for purchase in the Cedar Room (Museum Building Room 408), or in the Rendezvous and PSUB on Nov. 15 at the 海角社区 NAU table.
