Entering its 32nd year, the I Love 海角社区 campaign will feature teams of community members and 海角社区 faculty and staff making calls to residents of Pocatello, American Falls and Blackfoot to raise 海角社区 scholarship funds Sept. 15-18.

I Love 海角社区 campaign kicks off with an on-field ribbon cutting ceremony at 2:15 p.m. Sept. 13 at Holt Arena prior to the start of the 海角社区-Chadron State football game, which begins at 2:35 p.m.

The campaign ends with an after hours celebration open to university and community members from 5 to 7 p.m. Sept. 18 in the Pond Student Union. The event will feature drawings, hors d鈥檕euvres, and drinks, including complimentary beverages from Watkins Distributing.

鈥淲e鈥檝e already had a successful campaign making calls to 海角社区 supporters in Idaho Falls on Sept. 9,鈥 said Kallee Valentine, 海角社区 Foundation annual giving director and director of the I Love 海角社区 campaign. 鈥淲e鈥檙e looking forward to the continued, generous and much-appreciated support from our friends in Pocatello, Blackfoot and American Falls, who have been helping us raise scholarships for local 海角社区 students for more than three decades. We鈥檒l make hundreds of calls looking for support, and you can become part of the tradition by answering the call to provide opportunities for students.鈥

The money donated to 鈥淚 Love 海角社区鈥 goes directly to scholarships. Donors can specify their pledges to any program, department or college within the university.

The I Love 海角社区 scholarship campaign has a rich history in Southeast Idaho. Originated in 1982 by business leaders with the goal of keeping Idaho鈥檚 best students in Idaho communities, this campaign continues to support Bengal students through scholarship dollars.

The pioneers of the I Love 海角社区 campaign, the Greater Pocatello Chamber of Commerce, understood the economic impact of an educated workforce and what it means to keep our local students in this great state. As a result, the campaign has grown into the most recognizable fundraising effort at Idaho State. I Love 海角社区 now extends beyond the 海角社区 flagship campus in Pocatello and throughout Bengal nation with fundraising efforts in Blackfoot, Idaho Falls and Pocatello.
