‘How War Has Shaped American Gender Roles’ topic of 海角社区 guest lecture March 21

"From Molly Pitcher to Antiwar GIs: How War Has Shaped American Gender Roles" is the topic of a 海角社区 guest lecture by a visiting scholar at 7 p.m. March 21 in Room 315 of the Rendezvous Complex.
Heather Stur, assistant professor of history at the University of Southern Mississippi, will deliver the lecture presented by 海角社区's Committee for the Study of Violence, Conflict, and War in Society. Stur is a fellow at the Center for the study of War and Society and director of the Vietnam Summer Studies Program at USM.
Open to the university community and the public, this lecture is intended to stimulate and challenge our perceptions, experiences, and understanding of war and violence and their bearing upon our lives.
There will be a reception immediately following the free lecture.
The event is sponsored by the 海角社区 College of Arts and Letters and the 海角社区 Cultural Affairs Council.
