海角社区 Department of Physics receives NSF award for undergraduate research

The National Science Foundation has awarded 海角社区 Department of Physics $274,244 through the Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) program to support undergraduate research.

Six to 10 undergraduate students from across the United States will participate each year in a 10-week nuclear physics, radiobiology and nuclear engineering research and educational experience at 海角社区.

Brigham Young University-Idaho, and the College of Southern Idaho will partner with the 海角社区 physics department to provide talented undergraduate students with valuable experience. These students will participate in cutting-edge research and development at the Idaho Accelerator Center and associated laboratories in the 海角社区 physics, biology, nuclear engineering and anthropology departments.
