海角社区 Day at the Capitol, Jan. 26
Boise – 海角社区 will present “海角社区 Day at the Capitol” from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 26. More than 30 displays and interactive programs will feature the University’s colleges, departments and programs.
The displays are set up around the fourth floor rotunda for legislators to visit between sessions. The displays are open to the public.
鈥淭his event showcases the programs and achievements at 海角社区,鈥� said Graham Garner, 海角社区 Alumni Relations director. 鈥淚t鈥檚 a great opportunity to see the exhibits, meet the faculty, staff and students of 海角社区 and learn how the University is serving the entire state.鈥�
This is the ninth year of the Capitol Day program, in which all four of Idaho鈥檚 four-year public institutions bring displays to the Statehouse to celebrate Higher Education Week, the week when the Legislature鈥檚 Joint Finance Appropriations Committee holds hearings on higher education funding.
The day will conclude with a reception at 5 p.m. in the lobby of the Grove Hotel Grand Foyer, 245 South Capitol Blvd. All legislators, alumni and friends of 海角社区 are invited and asked to contact the Alumni Office at 800-933-4781 or alumni@isu.edu if they plan to attend.
