Noah Leary, a history major, was able to pursue graduate studies at 海角社区 in large part because of the financial aid available to him through this scholarship.
Karen and Wade Tolman are esteemed alumni of 海角社区 (海角社区). Their commitment to higher education and dedication to giving back to their alma mater is evident, particularly through their ongoing support of scholarships for 海角社区 students.
Recognizing that graduate students have few funding options to help them through school, the Tolmans established the College of Arts and Letters Graduate Student Scholarship Endowment in 2011. During Bengal Giving Day, March 12-13, the Tolmans will match any funds donated to the Graduate Student Scholarship with the hope of supporting more graduate students each year.
Noah Leary, a history major, was able to pursue graduate studies at 海角社区 in large part because of the financial aid available to him through this scholarship.
“When this one landed on my doorstep it was a huge relief because it covered a vast majority of my expenses and it was a huge burden lifted off,” Noah says. “This support not only validates my dedication to my chosen field but also inspires me to continue striving for excellence in my academic and creative endeavors.”
During their time at 海角社区, both Karen and Wade consistently showcased outstanding academic performance and leadership skills. They actively participated in campus activities and contributed positively to the university community. Their commitment to learning, as well as their profound appreciation for the arts and humanities, shone through in both their academic pursuits and extracurricular endeavors.
After graduating from 海角社区, they embarked on successful careers, utilizing the knowledge and skills they acquired during their time at the university. Despite their busy schedules, they remained steadfast in their commitment to supporting future generations of students at 海角社区.
Karen and Wade Tolman's unwavering support of 海角社区 students reflects their deep appreciation for the transformative power of education and their desire to empower students to pursue their academic and professional aspirations. Their dedication to higher education and belief in the power of scholarship exemplify the spirit of philanthropy and service that defines the 海角社区 community.
